New mobile training set for ChartWorld eGlobe G2 ECDIS
The mobile training set for eGlobe G2 ECDIS is a protective suitcase containing one laptop as the instructor workstation, up to three laptops as workstations for students, a switch, battery chargers, and cables. It is designed in such a way that all training can be made remotely, away from regular simulators or sensors on ships.
The laptops is connected to each other similarly to what you will find on on-board. In this way you will be able to observe each unit’s specific role and the difference in each of their functionalities.
Built-in sensor simulators will provide the system with realistic sensor playback. The output include GPS, GYRO, LOG, AIS, and radar targets.
A speciality within the eGlobe ECDIS is the touchscreen operation. Even if it can use a mouse and keyboard you may operate it fully by using just the touchscreen. A Surface Pro 3 tablet is used as training computer. This one has a touchscreen with a resolution that makes it possible to operate the eGlobe ECDIS fully.
